Turkey Tacos*

What do you think of when I say Turkey? Roast Dinner? (if it's not your too smart for this game!) If it was, think again!

Say goodbye to dry Turkey dinners and hello to Mexico!

British Turkey are trying to get the U.K. away from Gravy covered meals and into using Turkey on days other than Sunday!

I honestly hardly ever buy chicken these days so of course I had to get on-board.

Turkey is considered a good source of protein and has calories 2 thirds less than Chicken! Plus in terms of fat its again much much lower, So why wouldn't you make the swap?

You will need...
Tacos (mine are from the Old El Paso Stand 'n' Stuff Taco Kit)
Mexican spice mix (included in the Old El Paso kit)
Salsa (also included in kit)
500g Turkey mince
1 onion
125g Grated cheese (I used mozzarella as I was unfortunately was out of cheddar)
Bunch of cherry tomatoes or 2 large ones
Bag of lettuce
Low calorie spray or oil

Method...

1). Add a splash of spray or oil to a heating pan. Brown the mince and onions. Once cooked, drain excess liquid (this is fat so get rid if your trying to watch your weight).

2). Pre-heat oven to 180C (160C fan assisted) gas mark 4.

3). Sprinkle the desired quantity of spice into meat, add 100ml of water and stir well.

4). Place your Taco shells open end down on a baking tray and heat for 2-3 minutes.

5). Get all your fillings onto your table and serve!

This is one of my favourite 'all hands in' family meal. So interactive and tasty! You forget it's a healthy meal!
