I don't think there is anything better than a good cocktail, they can wash away your worries and tingly your tastebuds. So I've come up with my top 4 favourite cocktails just in time for Christmas.
I promise you gin, vodka and wine and much much more.
Christmas cosmo
500ml Vodka
500m ginger wine
1litre good quality cranberry juice
5 lime juices (keep the zest for garnish)
Stem ginger, sliced
Method: Mix the vodka and ginger wine in a jug. Stir in the cranberry juice, lime juice and some sliced stem ginger. Garnish with lime zest.
Snowball
100ml golden caster sugar
handful of sliced ginger
100ml advocaat
100ml ginger syrup
Babycham
Method: First make your ginger syrup by combining 100ml water with the caster sugar and a handful of sliced ginger in a pan and bring to the boil. Cool the mixture and strain through a sieve.
Fill your glass with ice and pour the Advocaat and ginger syrup into a cocktail shaker. Shake it (like a Polaroid picture) and pour into the glasses then top with Babysham and serve. Delicious!
Sloe G&T
50ml Gordon's Sloe gin
Tonic
Wedge of lime
Method: Pour your gin over ice and top up with tonic. Squeeze a wedge of lime and stir – enjoy!
Flirtini (makes 8-10 glasses)
75cl dry fizzy white wine
125ml vodka
500ml pineapple juice
Squeeze of lime juice
Method: This one's really simple just mix all these ingredients together in a jug and pour into glasses.
Or if you're after a delicious non-alcoholic drink you got to try my Very berry Pimms slushie
