Zingy iced peppermint tea

My potted mint had been growing out of control recently so once I got a chance to cut it back, there was only one thing for it – iced tea! But not just your usual kind...

Daily Cultures got in touch to explain the benefits of cultures (or good bacteria as we know it) and why they'd decided to combine natural tea with this goodness – which quite simply is to keep us healthy!

I wanted to spruce my peppermint tea up a little bit, so I mixed it with orange and lime to give it more of a fruity taste. Plus, the great thing about these tea bags are that they're heat-resistent which means you can have them cool or warm and the good bacteria won't be affected.

You will need:
2-3 peppermint teabags
1 clementine
1 lime
1 heaped dessertspoon caster sugar
few handfuls of ice
few sprigs of fresh mint

Method:
1). Put your teabags into a jug and using a speed-peeler peel the skin of a clementine and lime into strips.

2). Add the peel into your jug along with all the caster sugar.

3). Fill the jug halfway with boiling water and leave to steep for 5 minutes.

4). Remove the teabags and add several handfuls of ice to the tea.

5). Halve the clementine and lime and squeeze in all their juices. Then, add both halves of your lime and the sprigs of mint to the jug.

6). Give it a good mix and serve!

Daily Cultures tea includes a 2-week supply of tea and a handy calendar to remind you when to top up your good bacteria.
