No Churn Salted Caramel & Fudge Ice Cream

Who says you need an ice cream maker? I've got the best-ever no-churn recipe for homemade ice cream.

You will need:

300ml Double cream
175g Condensed milk
100g Fudge pieces
2tbsp Salted caramel liqueur

Method:
1). Whisk all your ingredients together until soft peaks form. Fill your mixture into an airtight container (needs to be able to hold 1 pint). Freeze for 6 hours or more and serve.

The fudge pieces make this ice cream exceptional and I must say the images don't do its flavour and texture justice. It's the creamiest and tastiest ice cream I have ever had eaten!

Just make sure it includes a liqueur! Alcohol can't freeze which means the ice cream won't completely either or form ice crystals, clever isn't it.

Got any other ideas for flavours? Comment below.

Don't forget, if your trying to cut out calorific foods, try my carb and dairy free ice cream here.

This recipe was taken and adapted from Nigella Lawson's book Feast.

  1. I KNEW IT!!! When I saw your tweet last week about coming home to the best ice cream ever a lightbulb clicked!!! I just have to try this. I wonder if caramel whisky will do the trick, do you think it will effect the ice cream texture by swapping out the vodka?

    1. Hehe well done Risa! I would never put whiskey in it as I hate the stuff but of course you can put it in! Any alcohol will do I would try and use one with at least 20% but it's mostly down to preference. The alcohol keeps the ice cream from creating frozen bits and keeps it all creamy and lovely! Give it a go let me know how it goes and I want pics :)

    1. Hi Bristol Bites :)

I bought mine from Asda it's by a brand called Odka. They have lots of wacky flavoured vodkas and for only £9! Absolute must! This recipe honestly makes 100% better ice cream than store bought. Plus its so nice to know there are no artifical anti-free chemicals included!

Good luck, let me know how you get on! :)
