King's Arms (Bristol)

With summer in full swing the last thing I've been wanting to eat for dinner is a hearty meal so when Dan said he knew somewhere serving really great salads I was sold!...

2014 best pub food nominee (Bristol Good Food Awards) The Kings Arms is a public house situated at the top of Blackboy hill on Whiteladies road.

Its trendy décor and extensive menu makes it great for everyone, serving tapas, pasta, traditional mains, burgers, sandwiches, breakfast and Sunday lunch! Seems there isn't anything they don't do!

All their meals sounded divine but we both were sold on one of the salads and ended up both ordering the same thing!

Two diet cokes and two steak salads please :)

The salad was rocket based with a generous amount of gorgeously tender pan fried rump steak medallions, topped with home-made red onion marmalade and parmesan shavings.

That onion marmalade was unbelievable, such a great combination with the steak, cheese and rocket. Easily one of the best salads I have ever had before (and I don't say that lightly).

Worth a visit if your looking for a public house serving traditional classics and gorgeous salads, see their details here!

Do you know anywhere great for food that's worth me visiting?
